Job summary

AFIMAC is seeking licensed Private Investigators for injunction-related investigative work across Ontario. You will earn $20.00 per hour before overtime, with hotel accommodations provided when required and a $30 per diem when lodging is needed. Contract length ranges from 1 to 120 days.

Investigators are deployed to labour disruptions, organized protests, and man-made crisis/disasters. Candidates must hold an Ontario PI license, be willing to travel on short notice, and be able to work extended

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Private Investigator license in Ontario.
• Willing to travel on short notice within Ontario for projects (minimum 4 weeks).
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to sit, walk, stand, and/or drive for extended periods.
• Be a Canadian resident and legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Previous experience dealing with confrontational situations and ability to de-escalate.
• Experience with the court injunction process.
• Excellent report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• AFIMAC Investigators are deployed to assignments including Labour Disruptions, Organized protests, and man-made crises/disasters (crime scenes, structural fires, etc.).
• Compile timely and accurate reports for clients and maintain safety protocols.
• Coordinate with on-site teams and clients to ensure effective response and risk mitigation.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

To be eligible to work for AFIMAC you must meet the following criteria:

• Possess a valid Private Investigator license in the province of Ontario.
• Flexibility and a willingness to travel on short notice within your home province to projects for extended periods of time (minimum 4 week commitment)
• Ability to work 12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Able to sit, walk, stand, and or drive for extended periods of time
• Able to read, write, and speak English
• Be a Canadian resident and legally entitled to work in Canada
• Previous experience dealing with confrontational situations and having the ability to de‑escalate with little to no supervision
• Experience with the court injunction process
• Excellent report writing skills
