We specialize in delivering reliable and cost-effective services, and we are currently seeking experienced Private Investigators to join our dynamic team in Ontario. As a private investigator at AFIMAC, you will play a vital role in various investigative activities, including undercover surveillance, social media investigations, corporate surveillance, interviews, and disability files.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly rate: $30.00 to $45.00 before overtime
  • Hotel accommodations provided when required
  • $30 per diem when lodging is necessary
  • Contract duration: 1-120 days

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct surveillance operations to gather evidence related to corporate matters such as employee misconduct, intellectual property theft, and unauthorized activities.
  • Investigate and assess workplace incidents, including theft, fraud, harassment, misconduct, and other security issues.
  • Verify the authenticity of disability claims by conducting interviews, reviewing medical records, and collecting evidence.
  • Collect and document evidence using various investigative techniques and tools.
  • Prepare detailed reports of findings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with clients, legal teams, and stakeholders to provide investigation updates and support litigation when necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards throughout all investigative activities.

Undercover Investigations:

Specializing in undercover surveillance, you will gather intelligence and uncover vital information for our clients.

  • Conduct covert surveillance in various settings such as factories, restaurants, nightclubs, and other locations.
  • Use surveillance techniques and equipment discreetly.
  • Document and report findings comprehensively.
  • Perform background checks, interviews, and research, blending into surroundings as required.
  • Coordinate with team members and law enforcement agencies.
  • Adhere to legal and ethical standards at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Private Investigator license in Ontario.
  • Willingness to travel on short notice within Ontario for extended periods (minimum 4 weeks).
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical ability to sit, walk, stand, and drive for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Legal right to work in Canada as a Canadian resident.
  • Experience in managing confrontational situations and de-escalation techniques.
  • Experience with court injunction processes is preferred.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Bonus: Experience in policing, military, or related fields.
