Job summary

British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is seeking an Analyst, Private Equity Operations in Victoria, BC. The role reports to an Associate and focuses on quarterly valuations, internal and portfolio reporting, and SOC1 support.

The candidate will work across fund, direct, and co-investments, leveraging AI-enabled workflows to improve efficiency. Ideal applicants have a finance/accounting background, 3–5 years of experience, and familiarity with SOC1 and AI tools.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or investment operations.
• Experience in accounting, including audit, financial reporting, or valuations.
• Familiarity with SOC1 requirements and risk management.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; proficient with Excel and automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Executes quarterly fund and principal valuation calculations.
• Supports the review of external manager and third-party valuation reports and reconciles conclusions to the book of record.
• Maintains fee, carried interest, and unfunded and commitment tracking in alignment with SOC1 requirements.
• Prepares internal and portfolio reporting deliverables with accuracy and timeliness.
• Executes data capture, validation, and analysis to support reporting insights.
