Job Description

Firm : Large global portfolio management firm with over 200 billion in assets under management. Each client would have a separately managed portfolio that is custom tailored for that client. Fee-based discretionary managed portfolios. Main selling feature is that clients would hold a truly globally diversified portfolio of individual stocks and bonds (not limited to North American equities and bonds).

Role : In this home-based outside sales role, you will be focused on closing leads of high net worth clients that have already expressed interest in investing with this firm and who have over $500k to invest. There is absolutely no cold calling / no prospecting in this role, and the firm prefers that you focus on closing the leads that the firm provides. Your responsibilities include speaking with the leads, meeting with them, with the goal of signing these clients up to invest with the firm. A dedicated portfolio management and service team are primarily responsible for the transition and retention of client relationships.

The firm actively markets their services via direct mail, internet, television advertising, and other mediums. The firm receives pre-qualified responses from interested investors willing to discuss transferring their investment portfolios.

Home Office : The firm covers all home office expenses: computer, phone, scanner, printer, etc. The firm also covers all travel expenses and provides an expense account.

Compensation : $100,000 salary to start + uncapped commission (average total compensation $300,000-$500,000, with top producers earning over $1 million).

Requirements : Must be licensed to manage portfolios containing individual stocks/bonds (not just mutual funds) for at least 2 out of the past 4 years and have a strong track record of success in sales and bringing in new investment assets to the firm.
