Job summary

The City of Port Colborne seeks an Information, Access and Privacy Officer to lead MFIPPA processes, advise on privacy and information governance, and advance records management. The role reports to the City Clerk and supports corporate initiatives and municipal election activities.

The candidate will develop policies, conduct PIAs and privacy breach investigations, and provide expert guidance across departments. A four-year degree or AMCTO credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or diploma related to information management or public administration.
• Municipal MFIPPA awareness is preferred.
• Experience in privacy, access to information, or records management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Administer MFIPPA requests within statutory timelines.
• Provide expert advice on privacy, access to information, and records management.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments and privacy breach investigations.
• Develop policies, procedures, and training on information governance.
• Support Records and Information Management program and electronic records.
