Job Opportunity: Printing Press Operator

Agilus is recruiting for several Printing Press Operators in the Packaging Industry in Mississauga, Ontario. Located in Mississauga, we seek dedicated individuals to operate flexible plastic material presses. This role involves a steep learning curve but offers long-term growth and stability. Responsibilities:

1. Operate gear and servo-based presses to meet production rates.
2. Collaborate with team members to follow schedules, complete changeovers, and achieve production goals.
3. Perform setups and troubleshoot presses to uphold quality standards.
4. Ensure accurate ink station procedures for proper color matching per customer specifications.
5. Use daily reports such as OEE, transition sheets, and checklists for communication and problem-solving.
6. Conduct quality checks on film samples and report variances.
7. Participate in scheduled preventive maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues.
8. Use core cutters, hand tools, and transfer finished products to the warehouse using pallet jacks.

Ideal Candidate:

• Has 3+ years of flexographic printing experience; polyethylene film experience is preferred.
• Possesses 1+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Can color-match; a color-blind test is required.
• Available to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including some weekends.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and basic math.
• Basic computer skills for data entry.
• Capable of lifting up to 50lbs and standing for extended periods.
• Willing to commit long-term and learn processes; previous paper/cardboard printing experience is acceptable but may not be fully transferable.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly wage: $18.00 - $20.00
