Job summary

District School Board Ontario North East invites internal and external teachers and vice-principals to apply for the Vice-Principal and/or Principal selection pool for potential placement in North, Central, or South regions.

Candidates who succeed will be placed in a pool for placement considerations and may indicate regional preferences. AI may be used for screening but final hiring decisions rest with DSB1 staff.

Qualifications

• Cover letter and resume.
• One page description of how you are successfully leading learning in your school. Highlight the three priorities of the Strategic Plan (2025-2029) and how you have implemented them.
• Copy of your 2026-2027 Ontario College of Teachers’ Certificate of Qualifications.
• Reference contact information for four (4) administrative references, one of whom must be your current supervisor and two of whom must hold leadership positions.

Job description

Location: North, Central and South regions

District School BoardOntario North East invites internal and external Teachers and Vice-Principals who are interested in becoming a Vice-Principal and/or Principal to apply for our selection process.

We are looking for leaders who care deeply about students and staff and who will excel in their role in serving others.

Candidates who are successful in this selection process will be placed in a pool for placement considerations in the three regions: North, Central and South. Candidates will be asked to indicate their preference for specific regions.

DSB1 may use Artificial Intelligence(AI) tools to assist in screening and assessing applicants, as defined under the Employment Standards Act (ESA). AI is not used to make final hiring decisions. In DSB1, final hiring decisions are made by DSB1 staff.
