Overview

Are you a System Design expert with a knack for RF technology? Our Lansdale Systems Design team seeks your expertise! The Systems Design Engineer - RF role involves applying extensive technical knowledge across scientific disciplines to design, analyze, and develop major subsystems and small-scale systems. These systems primarily focus on RF Electronic Warfare (EW), including Radar Warning, Situational Awareness, Interferometry/Direction Finding, Electronic Attack, and RF Counter Measures.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Define system architectures with functional elements like RF amplification, antennas, power, mechanical, digital/analog, I/O, software/firmware
  • Develop and manage requirements, including derivation and decomposition
  • Create block diagrams, interconnection drawings, wire lists
  • Conduct trade studies, architectural analyses, and performance modeling
  • Generate simulation models to predict system performance
  • Lead R&D efforts, assess risks, and propose technical solutions
  • Integrate and test modules in lab or field environments
  • Communicate technical content effectively to stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, RF Systems, Physics, or related field
  • 8+ years of hands-on RF technical experience
  • 2+ years in requirements management with tools like DOORS or Jama
  • Extensive knowledge of RF/microwave concepts (dB, dBm, EIRP, G/T, Noise Figure, P1dB, VSWR)
  • 5+ years working with frequencies from microwave to millimeter wave (2-40 GHz)
  • Laboratory experience with RF test equipment
  • Eligibility to access controlled US technology and ability to obtain security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • 12+ years RF experience, especially in defense or aerospace
  • Experience designing EW, radar, or communication systems
  • Knowledge of RF subsystem analysis, circuit fundamentals, and schematic capture
  • Experience with IV&V processes for system compliance
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or simulation tools like AWR, ADS, HFSS, CST
  • Active DOD Secret Clearance
