We are seeking applications to work alongside strong and supportive in-school administrators as the Principal at Sunrise School. Sunrise School , is an alternative learning community serving students from grades 7 to 12, with approximately 50 on-site students and another 50 off-site students. At Sunrise, we create a welcoming and adaptable space where students can feel supported and grow at their own pace, finding the path that’s right for them. Sunrise School also offers the Grasslands Summer School Program. A small FTE of the principal’s role is to oversee Sunrise Collegiate - a collaborative partnership between Grasslands and Medicine Hat College. Sunrise Collegiate offers courses for adult learners preparing for college. Check out some of our programs at Sunrise!
Sunrise is located in Brooks, Alberta, which has a population of approximately 16,000. In addition to city locations, the Grasslands Public Schools community also includes rural school locations that extend across the County of Newell.

Moving Expense Reimbursement for Qualifying New Hires!
New teachers who accept employment with the Division and must relocate from another town, city, or province will be reimbursed for moving expenses up to the limits below. This applies to teachers on probationary, interim, and temporary contracts of five (5) or more consecutive months. Relocations from :
Red Deer and north of Red Deer - actual cost up to $1,500.
100% of benefit premiums paid (Extended Health, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, AD&D)
Health Spending Account (for contracts of at least 5 months)
Paid Sick Leave of 20 days in the first year, 90 days thereafter.
Family Medical Leave of 3 days per year.
Paid Personal Leave , 4 days per year (1 full pay, 3 with sub cost if contracts are 5+ months).
