Are you a highly skilled Structural Engineer with a passion for leadership and technical excellence? Parsons is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead innovative structural design projects. You will play a key role in delivering transit infrastructure projects, guiding engineering teams, and collaborating across disciplines. If you're ready to advance your career, this is the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:
  • Design structural steel structures and buildings using software such as SAP2000, following CSA S-16-19 standards.
  • Design reinforced concrete structures using software like SAFE, ETABS, and S-Concrete, following CSA A23.3-19 standards.
  • Verify designs with hand calculations in accordance with CSA codes.
  • Prepare markup details for BIM technologists and EITs for steel and rebar details.
  • Manage and review design work for engineers and BIM technologists.
  • Perform quality assurance on structural projects.
  • Coordinate designs with other disciplines, clients, and construction managers.
  • Prepare calculation packages and structural specifications.
  • Conduct site visits and produce reports.
  • Contribute to proposal writing and act as a technical knowledge center in transit structures and facilities.
Required Skills:
  • Experience in structural design, including drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of structural analysis software.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Mentorship experience with junior and intermediate engineers.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with transit projects and standards such as Metrolinx DRM and AREMA 2023.
  • Experience with masonry design per CSA S304-19.
  • Advanced degrees in structural design are a plus.
  • Knowledge of computational design.
  • Experience as a structural lead on major projects.
  • Proposal writing experience.
