Job Title: Core Banking Principal Solution Consultant

Location and Residency: USA or Canada

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Principal Sales Consultant for North America who can lead client engagements in core banking across both corporate and retail banking, driving North American Banking towards excellence. You will support Oracle Banking Sales Managers and Application Sales Reps from a functional, solution, and commercial perspective in the Financial Institutions Banking domain, enabling the sale of Oracle’s Banking Solutions for Retail and Corporate Banking. The role involves leading the sales cycle, designing solutions to meet business requirements, and managing a team of resources through the sales process.

Responsibilities
  • Understand client business needs and propose solutions by collaborating with FSGIU solution experts, Sales, and Consulting teams.
  • Utilize domain expertise and deep understanding of FSGIU Banking solutions to lead client engagements and demonstrate value.
  • Own the solution design and value proposition for major client engagements.
  • Assist sales teams by leveraging product knowledge to address client requirements.
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis to assess alignment between client requirements and FSGIU Banking solutions.
  • Deliver tailored client presentations and demonstrations.
  • Respond to RFPs and RFIs for Core Banking systems.
  • Develop requirements and functional specifications; influence product development based on market and client feedback.
  • Communicate product information and strategic directions to sales teams.
  • Understand current industry environment, regulations, and evolving business needs.
  • Drive business growth and revenue in North America, supporting sales in business development.
  • Lead solution assurance processes, identifying functionality gaps, and coordinating efforts to address them.
  • Collaborate across LOBs to provide comprehensive solutions.
  • Create and maintain opportunity-specific presentations and collateral.
  • Provide feedback to product managers based on client interactions.
  • Evaluate third-party vendor opportunities and solutions.
Qualifications
  • Experience in Core Banking domains, with strong knowledge of banking fundamentals, product lifecycle, and operations.
  • 10-15 years of proven experience in financial services or banking solutions in North America.
  • Functional expertise in core banking applications like Finxact, Thought Machines, Mambu, FIS MBP; Oracle Banking experience is a plus.
  • Relationship management experience with banking clients, either in presales or delivery roles.
  • Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical skills and ability to capture business requirements.
  • Willingness to travel (>25%) and authorized to work in the US or Canada.
