Scotiabank Wealth Management is seeking a strategic and visionary technology leader to define and drive the architectural and data strategy across Global Wealth and Asset Management. This role will work closely with the leaders of Wealth Management and collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Define and evolve the architectural and data strategy roadmap for Global Wealth and Asset Management.
  2. Drive digital transformation by modernizing platforms, enabling cloud adoption, and integrating emerging technologies to enhance client and advisor experiences.
  3. Collaborate with CIO, business and technology leaders, and Enterprise Architecture to ensure strategic alignment and architectural consistency.
  4. Assess current capabilities and lead the development of future-state architecture and data platforms.
  5. Guide teams in building strong business cases, including reference architectures, gap analyses, and cost-benefit evaluations.
  6. Lead large-scale, cross-functional technology and data initiatives from concept to execution.
  7. Lead enterprise-wide Data and AI strategy, driving innovation, governance, and measurable business value through scalable data platforms and responsible AI integration.
  8. Establish and enforce architectural and data governance practices, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
  9. Act as the primary architectural liaison between Wealth Management and Enterprise Architecture.
  10. Influence enterprise-wide technology and data decisions to reflect Wealth Management priorities.
  11. Represent Wealth Management architecture and data strategy in enterprise governance forums and strategic planning sessions.
  12. Serve as a trusted advisor to the CIO and wealth leadership, providing insights and updates.
  13. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of architects and data strategists.
  14. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in architecture leadership, technology strategy, management consulting, or corporate transformation roles.
  • Proven success in delivering complex digital transformation and data modernization initiatives.
  • Deep expertise in enterprise architecture, data platforms, cloud technologies (e.g., GCP, Azure), and modern integration patterns.
  • Strong understanding of wealth management business models, regulatory frameworks, and client-centric solutions.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with a focus on outcomes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
