WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Build a cloud-like platform to enable the provisioning and management of on-prem infrastructure
  • Deliver capabilities using practices such as Infrastructure as Code and GitOps
  • Leverage containerization technologies such as Kubernetes to build multicloud, multitenant platforms
  • Learn from a great team of fellow engineers in building real-world cloud scale solutions
  • Act as a team lead to like-minded software engineers to build the cloud platforms as part of the RBC hybrid cloud strategy
  • Promote automation and infrastructure best practices
  • Fearlessly face challenging technical problems, use your superpowers to solve them, and help your peers by sharing your unique solutions
  • Create awesome educational material for fellow engineers, like sample cloud native apps and starter code
  • Continuously learn new technical skills and practice by applying them in your day-to-day work

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

  • Strong fluency in multiple C-based programming languages – Go and Java a plus
  • A strong understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, algorithms, and testing techniques
  • Experience with ITIL principles in complex programs with high frequency of requests and multiple priorities.
  • A strong desire to take ownership of your work and deliver solutions that surprise and delight our customers
  • Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project.
  • Strong organizational, project management and time management capabilities.
  • Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
