Reporting to the VP of Innovation and Technology as a Principal Software Engineer you will play a pivotal role in driving our digital transformation and enhancing the user experience for our diverse customer base & employee base. You lead the team of software engineers and will work in collaboration with our digital commerce and operational teams to build enhance and deliver trusted market-leading technology solutions in a secure stable and scalable way.

About the Opportunity

• Key in driving and executing on our strategic roadmap for digital innovation aligned with organizational priorities and emerging industry trends.
• Foster a culture of innovation experimentation and continuous learning across the organization.
• Lead the design and development of digital solutions that improve operational efficiency enhance decision-making and support resident-centered care.
• Promote user-centered design principles to ensure solutions meet the needs of residents families and staff.
• Champion data-driven decision-making and the integration of advanced analytics and AI into digital initiatives including those focused on applied health improvements and care delivery models.
• Build support and enhance connections with mobile & web technology ensuring smooth data flow and accessibility across devices. The digital experience should span multiple channels (ex : responsive web apps mobile apps internal tools)
• Design and deliver an e-commerce tool that meets the need of the organization
• Develop integrations that maintain and enhance the functionality and usability of the enterprise commerce platforms
• Experience designing experiments (A / B tests) analyzing user behaviour and iterating on product features to improve conversion and revenue
• Conduct regular QA testing to ensure data accuracy and secure data exchange.

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement collaboration and accountability you bring :

• 5 years leading high performing engineering teams and hands-on practical experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stability
• 3 years experience with e-commerce development and integrations; as well as mobile development
• Advanced knowledge in at least one or more programming language(s)
• Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines
• Practical cloud native experience
• Strong understanding of AI data analytics automation and emerging technology trends.
• Experience in healthcare hospitality long-term care or a related sector considered an asset.
• Proven track record applying AI considered an asset
