F5 Networks, Inc. is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to architect and maintain cloud infrastructure for our AI security platform. You will design scalable, reliable, and secure deployments across AWS, Kubernetes, and serverless components.

You will also build CI/CD pipelines, manage container workloads, and implement observability and security best practices to support our B2B SaaS solution.

About the role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer within our cutting-edge AI Security team, you’ll architect and maintain cloud infrastructure for our AI security platform. This role is critical for ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of our B2B SaaS solution. You’ll design CI/CD pipelines, manage Kubernetes workloads, and leverage serverless technologies to optimize our cloud-native architecture and deliver innovative AI-powered solutions.

What you’ll do

• Cloud Infrastructure: Design and implement scalable cloud architectures, focusing on high availability, security, and performance optimization for our Generative AI platform.
• CI/CD and Automation: Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines, automating deployment processes to ensure rapid and reliable feature delivery.
• Container Orchestration: Manage and optimize containerized workloads, ensuring efficient resource utilization and application scalability.
• Serverless Solutions: Implement and manage serverless architectures, enhancing our platform's flexibility and cost-efficiency.
• Observability and Monitoring: Build comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems to ensure proactive issue detection and resolution, maintaining high system reliability.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices and compliance standards across our cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience: Proven track record in designing and managing AWS cloud infrastructure for scalable applications. Experience with DevOps practices in a B2B SaaS environment is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in AWS services, Kubernetes, and Terraform. Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitHub Actions), AWS Lambda, and observability tools like Datadog.
• Additional Skills: Ideal candidates would have experience in Service Meshes, API Gateway, MongoDB administration and optimization, and microservices architecture. Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as Go, TypeScript, or Python is a plus.
• Leadership Skills: Ability to lead projects with minimal guidance, excellent problem-solving skills, and the capacity to take and integrate feedback constructively.
• Analytical Mindset: Strong interest in analyzing and deciphering complex systems, with a keen eye for improving system efficiency and performance.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, capable of conveying complex technical ideas clearly and effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base pay for this position is: $225,600.00 - $338,400.00 F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: Employees within 30 commutable miles of an F5 office are required to work from the office a minimum of 30 business days per quarter. Remote: Primarily work from designated home location but can come into an F5 office to work or travel to an offsite location as needed.
