Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

We are looking for a Principal Software Developer who is passionate about development, doing it right and having fun.

Location: You will be based in our Montreal office and will work in a hybrid model.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the VP, Commerce Platforms.

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

• Hands-on development for important/strategic features or products

• Research and experimenting with tools/technologies/processes to improve SDLC

• Reviewing/advising/leading architecture, technology, and production issue investigations

• Promote best practices within the development team such as shift left testing and continuous improvement

• Collaborate across departments to improve Moneris wide outcomes

• Support in the rollout and communication of development improvements

Your Moneris Career - What you bring

• 5+ years of technical leadership experience or equivalent expertise

• Development experience with React, Nodejs, and relational databases

• 10+ years of experience writing test automation (unit, API, and UI would be great)

• 10+ years of experience with cloud services (Azure would be great) and managing infrastructure as code (Terraform would be great)

• Experience architecting and delivering high-quality, high-security, and high- availability solutions

• Experience using GitHub and GitHub actions

• Experience with continuous learning about emerging technologies and software best practices
