We are looking for a Principal Software Developer who is passionate about development, doing it right and having fun.
Location: You will be based in our Montreal office and will work in a hybrid model.
Reporting Relationship: You will report to the VP, Commerce Platforms.
Your Moneris Career - What you'll do
Hands-on development for important/strategic features or products
Research and experimenting with tools/technologies/processes to improve SDLC
Reviewing/advising/leading architecture, technology, and production issue investigations
Promote best practices within the development team such as shift left testing and continuous improvement
Collaborate across departments to improve Moneris wide outcomes
Support in the rollout and communication of development improvements
Your Moneris Career - What you bring
5+ years of technical leadership experience or equivalent expertise
Development experience with React, Nodejs, and relational databases
10+ years of experience writing test automation (unit, API, and UI would be great)
10+ years of experience with cloud services (Azure would be great) and managing infrastructure as code (Terraform would be great)
Experience architecting and delivering high-quality, high-security, and high- availability solutions
Experience using GitHub and GitHub actions
Experience with continuous learning about emerging technologies and software best practices
