Job summary

Under the supervision of the Software Group Manager, and within the Research and Development department, your main responsibility will be to work in an agile team developing our new products for our industry’s Manufacturing, Design and Research (MDR) testing offerings.

You’ll be working in a hybrid mode, in a DevOps minded team.

What you’ll do

As part of an Agile SCRUM team, we are looking for someone who:

1. Favors face-to-face communication with team members over any other means
2. Favors finishing work over starting work
3. Favors an error free and verified build over their current work
4. Favors their team’s success over their own
5. Favors small testable vertical increments over horizontal integration
6. Favors automated tests over manual ones
7. Favors maximizing the leverage of CI/CD infrastructure.

What we’re looking for

Technical skills

1. In-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts
2. Knowledge of C# (.Net Core) / Flutter / Angular
3. Knowledge of Python and Java Script
4. Knowledge of REST API development
5. Knowledge of C++, Git/Gitlab, CI/CD development and support, DevOps practices and datacom/transport protocols will be considered an asset

Required aptitudes

1. Passionate and willing to learn
2. Attention to detail and quality of work
3. Ability to work as part of a team
4. Organizational skills

Must have

1. Bachelor’s degree in software or computer engineering or equivalent.
2. 8-15 years of experience in software development.
3. Bilingual (French and English, oral and written)

Other: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
