Job description

Job Overview:

Reporting to the MDR Site Security Lead or Deputy Site Security Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for general security supervision as well as direct mentoring of subcontracted guards and other security services (e.g., drug dogs, security technicians, etc.). The candidate will also serve as the primary investigator for security incidents on site. The 14-7 rotation will be synchronized with that of the Site Security Lead and Deputy Site Security Lead to ensure two Security Management Team members are always on site.

Salary Range: 124,000 - 160,000

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Minimum 10 years policing experience
  • Minimum 5 years in a police supervision or management role
  • Strong investigative background
  • MFSO qualification
  • Strong training background
  • Knowledge of core security principles
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Willing to work night or day shifts
  • Ability to work in a remote, camp-style environment

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

  • Experience supervising contracted guards
  • Experience on major construction projects or oil/gas sites
  • Background in Safety and Emergency Response
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills
  • Proven self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments
  • Team-oriented with influencing skills and ability to support team success
  • Excellent English verbal and written skills

Note: The candidate will work a 14-7 rotation, up to 12-hour days, in a camp environment. Availability for after-hours on-call work and split shifts may be required.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Assume Site Security Lead duties in their absence
  • Perform all MFSO duties if both MFSO and Deputy MFSO are absent
  • Supervise, mentor, and train contracted guards at WLNG Project sites
  • Oversee specialized guard functions such as radar, access control, CCTV, patrols, etc.
  • Lead drug detection dog inspections and searches
  • Resolve access issues at site points (ID badges, visitors, vehicle passes, ETMP)
  • Respond to and manage security incidents on-site
  • Conduct investigations and prepare detailed reports
  • Manage security statistics and intelligence collection
  • Assist with security education and HSE initiatives
  • Support emergency responses at Floatel, MOF, or Main Site
  • Prepare various security reports
