Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager NA R&D Seasonings, the Principal Scientist will lead R&D initiatives to support the NA Seasonings strategy, focusing on product leadership and innovation pipeline development.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct innovative research and experiments to develop seasoning solutions supporting business strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing to implement the IPM process.
  • Design, plan, execute, and report complex experiments independently.
  • Manage multiple projects and timelines concurrently.
  • Communicate project progress internally and externally, fostering relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • Maintain compliance with GLP, GMP, and record-keeping standards.
  • Analyze data and prepare technical reports.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams and represent R&D in external relationships.
  • Ensure confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Support hiring and development of interns.
  • Travel up to 20% as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of R&D experience in the food industry.
  • Strong understanding of ingredient functionality and processing techniques.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Experience with commercialization of food products is highly desirable.
