Description

Skyworks Solutions Inc. seeks a highly skilled Principal RF/EM Design Engineer for our Diversified Analog Solutions business unit. If you are a motivated EM designer passionate about modeling and designing complex wireless products, this role offers a great opportunity. The successful candidate will collaborate across teams as an Electromagnetic (EM) Designer, with a strong background in RF design and multichip module (MCM) integration.

Note: We are open to candidates based in our Woburn/Andover, MA offices.

Responsibilities

1. Troubleshoot EM modeling issues, aligning measurements with simulations for active and passive circuits.
2. Lead MCM design, integrating LNAs, PAs, switches, and filters into multichip modules.
3. Participate in all product development phases, from definition to production support.
4. Design and integrate passive components like baluns and inductors into MCM packages.
5. Create and maintain product documentation.
6. Lead lab evaluations of front-end modules, characterizing performance and troubleshooting.
7. Conduct thermal analysis to ensure RF component performance and reliability.
8. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Required Experience and Skills

1. BS degree with 12+ years’ experience, MS+8 or PhD+5 preferred, in EM/RF.
2. Expertise in electromagnetic theory.
3. Experience in MCM design and RF component integration.
4. Proficiency in circuit simulation (Agilent ADS, GoldenGate, SpectreRF) and EM tools (Momentum, HFSS).
5. Industry IC design experience with LNAs, PAs, or switches.
6. Familiarity with RF lab instruments.
7. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Desired Skills

1. Knowledge of device technologies, packaging, and RF systems.
2. Leadership experience in a technical role.

The salary range is CAD $115,500 - $196,900 per year, dependent on experience and qualifications. Benefits include healthcare, retirement plan, stock purchase, paid time off, and performance-based incentives.
