Parsons has been a leader in the design and delivery of municipal roads and civil infrastructure for 80 years. We are seeking experienced Infrastructure Leaders / Principal Project Managers to build our team in the Greater Toronto Region. We have strong relationships with municipalities across Southern Ontario and are looking for dynamic managers with the technical and commercial expertise to lead projects and manage teams of engineers and designers.

We seek individuals who demonstrate technical excellence and have experience delivering complex projects by collaborating closely with internal disciplines, external stakeholders, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will also have experience managing teams, negotiating change orders, scope changes, and risk management, with knowledge of roads, highways, and related standards, specifications, contracts, and policies.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing projects through all phases from inception to closeout.
  2. Overseeing municipal road projects, schedules, and budgets.
  3. Developing project management and risk plans, setting goals, and ensuring adherence to objectives.
  4. Representing Parsons with clients and stakeholders, managing expectations, and maintaining communication.
  5. Negotiating scope changes and developing new business through client relationships and proposal leadership.
  6. Conducting quality reviews and monitoring project progress, milestones, and financials.
  7. Leading project meetings and ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
  8. Fostering a positive team environment, promoting collaboration, and supporting team members.
  9. Supporting business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions.
  10. Monitoring project progress and proactively managing scope, schedule, and budget risks.
  11. Promoting technical and commercial excellence and obtaining necessary certifications.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • P.Eng registration with PEO
  • 10+ years of project management experience in municipal and regional road projects
  • 15+ years of municipal road planning, design, and management experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Open Road, and Inroads
  • Strong skills in MS Office, MS Project, and database software
  • Excellent communication skills
