Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Geological Engineering.
• Registration as a P.Eng. with EGBC or eligibility to register.
• 15+ years of geotechnical or geomechanics engineering, incl. 5+ years in deep foundations.
• Expertise with geotechnical software Ensoft, Pile Dynamics, GeoStudio, Rocscience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the business and technical growth of the deep foundations practice locally, regionally, and nationally.
• Develop and drive deep foundation strategies with specialists and market leaders.
• Share technical expertise across geographic boundaries to elevate innovation and project delivery.
• Guide multidisciplinary teams through full project life cycles — from early engagement to completion.
• Prepare and lead geotechnical studies and engineering reports that meaningfully influence design outcomes.
• Oversee geotechnical investigations, procurement processes, contractor evaluations, and project execution.
• Evaluate complex geotechnical conditions including deep foundation design, seismic assessments, settlement, slope stability, construction considerations and many other geotechnical engineering aspects.
• Support field operations through leadership in boreholes, in situ testing, piezocone soundings, earthworks, pile driving testing, instrumentation installation and data collection, construction reviews, and more.
• Serve as Project Manager or Project Director with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, client relationships, and team performance.

Principal Geotechnical Engineer specializing in Deep Foundations, based in Vancouver, BC, you will help deliver landmark infrastructure that supports resilient, thriving communities across British Columbia and the Yukon.

You will work closely with a nationally recognized deep foundations expert and a highly skilled geotechnical team, leading complex design work on some of the most exciting and technically challenging projects in the region.

Compensation

• AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $147,500 – $195,400
• MB & ON: $134,600 – $184,600
• NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $133,200 – $176,900
