Job summary

eBay is seeking a senior UX leader to shape the long-range user experience across buyers, sellers and the platform. You will bridge product, engineering and business to translate strategy into concrete design outcomes.

You will guide multi-year initiatives, elevate design quality with scalable systems, and explore AI-enabled workflows. This role requires global, hybrid collaboration and influence at VP+ levels.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience with strategic and hands-on UX design.
• Experience leading large-scale, ambiguous initiatives across multiple teams or domains.
• Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders (VP+) using storytelling and design work.
• Expertise in designing and scaling systems or end-to-end experiences within global organizations.
• Solid understanding of technical concepts and how design decisions impact business.

What You Will Accomplish

• Explore and apply AI tools in workflows, modeling new ways of working through both strategic leadership and direct experimentation in design practice.
• Align senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Legal, and Operations to deliver complex solutions that no single team can achieve alone.
• Balance user needs, business goals, ambition, and regulatory requirements while making practical product and design decisions in execution.

What You Will Bring

• A maker mindset with 15+ years of experience moving fluidly between strategic thinking and detailed execution, including creating concepts, flows, prototypes, and polished user experiences.
• Demonstrated experience leading large‑scale, ambiguous initiatives and delivering measurable outcomes across multiple teams or business domains.
• Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders (VP+), using clear communication, storytelling, and tangible design work to align on strategy and drive decisions.
• Expertise in designing and scaling systems, platforms, or end‑to‑end experiences within complex, global organizations, with a portfolio that demonstrates exceptional hands‑on UX, interaction, and product design craft.
• Solid understanding of technical concepts, platform constraints, and how design decisions connect to business impact.
• Proven ability to navigate uncertainty, define strategic direction, and secure alignment without direct authority.
• Experience working across global teams; ability to operate effectively in a hybrid environment and collaborate across time zones.
