Position Overview
Looking for an opportunity to use your skills and abilities to influence the strategic direction of a major software company? The Research Engineering team of Autodesk Research is hiring a Principal Data Scientist. As a member of the Research Engineering team, you'll prototype software solutions for strategic research projects, demonstrating innovations for Autodesk products.
You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and domain experts in manufacturing, robotics, architecture, computer vision, machine learning, and generative design. You will apply your data science knowledge and experience in the development of new applications and systems. You'll advise others to help Autodesk Research as a whole make good decisions related to data science.
You'll play a key role shepherding "what-if" ideas into tangible proof of concept demonstrations and prototypes. When you identify common data science requirements within Autodesk Research, you'll help plan and implement solutions to meet them.
