Kinectrics has a growing portfolio of services supporting the development and deployment of nuclear facilities including new nuclear power plants, fuel cycle facilities, medical radioisotope production facilities, and other advanced technologies in Canada and around the world. Our reactor new build support includes services for Gigawatt-scale new build as well as Small Modular Reactors of all technology types. Kinectrics also has a diverse portfolio of services to support emerging nuclear technologies such as fusion facilities and related clean energy technologies such as hydrogen production. Additionally, the market continues to grow for large-scale nuclear new builds utilizing proven technologies from around the world.
A section under the Licensing & Advanced Reactor directorate has been established to lead the licensing efforts for various new build work programs. This includes support to reactor developers, and support to utilities who are seeking to deploy new nuclear projects. Specific scopes of work performed in the section include: preparation of documents for CNSC Vendor Design Reviews, execution of site evaluation activities and reporting for nuclear new build sites, authoring of preliminary safety analysis report (PSAR) chapters, preparation and/or review of licence applications and other key licensing basis documents, and preparation of licensing strategies for various clients. We are seeking multiple licensing experts to lead and execute projects in this exciting area of work.
Accountabilities: How You Will Make an Impact
Provide nuclear safety and licensing support to clients in the nuclear sector in the areas of Nuclear Siting, Environmental/Impact Assessments, Deterministic Safety Analysis, Probabilistic Safety Analysis, Operational Nuclear Safety, Emergency Preparedness, Nuclear Security, Regulatory Affairs and other related disciplines.
