We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Consultant to oversee and guide our testing and automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java, Selenium, Appium , mobile testing. This role will involve leading a team of testers, mentoring junior resources, ensuring best practices in automation, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products.
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of testers, ensuring effective execution of automation and testing strategies.
Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web and mobile applications using Java, Selenium, Appium.
Manage and implement mobile testing strategies across both Android and iOS platforms.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure test coverage for new features and functionality.
Analyse and troubleshoot issues reported during testing, provide detailed defect reports, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
Develop and execute performance testing and load testing when necessary.
Implement best practices for Continuous Integration/Continuous Testing (CI/CD) pipelines.
Evaluate and introduce new tools/technologies to improve the testing process and efficiency.
Provide technical leadership and guidance on the latest trends and technologies in test automation and mobile testing.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Principal Consultant, Test Lead, or similar role in Test Automation.
Expert-level knowledge of Java and experience with Selenium WebDriver for automated testing.
Hands-on experience with Appium for mobile automation testing (Android and iOS).
Strong knowledge of mobile testing methodologies, tools, and platforms.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) and version control (Git).
Familiarity with test management tools (Jira, TestRail, etc.).
Solid experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Preferred qualifications
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive resolution in a collaborative team environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Leadership experience, including leading teams, managing projects, and driving technical initiatives to successful completion.
Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., ISTQB, certifications) are a plus.
