YOUR IMPACT

As a Principal Cloud Application Administrator, you will leverage creative and innovative problem-solving skills. You will collaborate with Agile squads, developers, and business partners, contributing significantly to developing specifications to resolve problems and address enhancement needs, focusing on logging, monitoring, and metrics for operational readiness.


WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

  1. Use technical knowledge, creativity, and company practices to reduce incidents through proactive monitoring and alerting.
  2. Address incidents in accordance with Service Level Agreements.
  3. Provide feedback to development teams on system stability, defect analysis, and system enhancements.
  4. Work with IT and development teams to develop new capabilities for monitoring and alerting on KPIs by tracking business transactions in real-time.
  5. Take ownership of incident resolution, participating in root cause analysis and SWAT investigations.
  6. Plan validation and verification of changes deployed by infrastructure and development teams.
  7. Support day-to-day technical issues reported by users/customers.
  8. Maintain good relationships with team members and cross-functional teams.
  9. Participate in training and knowledge-sharing activities.
  10. Act as backup for team members when necessary.
  11. Work in rotating shifts and participate in on-call rotations as 7x24x365 support is required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  1. A degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience. Relevant certifications are desirable.
  2. Deep understanding of Linux systems and hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Google, AWS, or Azure.
  3. Experience with PaaS technologies such as Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Bosh.
  4. Experience with CI/CD tools like Ansible, Rundeck, or Argo CD.
  5. Support experience with middleware technologies such as Apache, Tomcat, Spring.
  6. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, Python, JavaScript.
  7. Experience with installing and configuring Apache and Tomcat.
  8. Expertise in monitoring distributed system architectures and correlating environment conditions with application events.
  9. Experience with APM tools like New Relic, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
  10. Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix or check_mk.
  11. Strong understanding of ITIL principles; certifications are a plus.
