Role : Principal - Business Developer

Mission : To drive the business growth and consolidation Canada by approaching, attracting and retaining new B2B potential clients.

Company : Boutique European firm, with more than 20 years of experience in the HR and organizational consulting space with offices in Asia, Europe and America.

Business : Executive Search through exclusivity deals (retainer).

Responsibilities :

  • Winning and delivering retained executive search assignments.
  • Proactively establish and foster business relationships with senior executives, through all means available (Trade Fairs, Chamber events, Online communication, personal meetings, trips, etc.)
  • Generate a pipeline of client meetings, resulting in pitch opportunities.
  • Actively seek to grow your business by partnering new clients.
  • Listen to the client and understand their precise demands.
  • Accurately write engagement letters and proposals.
  • Work closely with other Consultants and Partners.
  • Lead every project of your clients, coordinating the searchs with the headhunting team.
  • Supervise searchs, supporting or participating in candidate interviews - understanding experience, skills, motivation and phenotype.
  • Effectively present search updates and candidate profiles to the client.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure paperwork, administration and invoicing are handled.
  • Hit sales targets in terms of fulfilled business (revenue).

Objectives :

  • Invoicing of CAD 336k annually. (Average fee per project is around CAD 50k)
  • Deliver projects effectively and maintain acquired clients.

The ideal candidate should have :

  • From 3 to 5 years of experience in full-cycle sales : Identifying, engaging, nurtuting, and managing a strong client pipeline in Canada.
  • Sales experience in HR consulting services.
  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Business / Economics or related.
  • Sales attitude, negotiation skills, initiative, ability to handle high-pressure environments and results orientation.
  • Availability to travel (around 6 times a year).
  • Having prior founder experience as an entrepreneur would be an important plus.

Conditions :

  • Fixed salary : CAD 90,000 – 100,000 annual gross (according to experience).
  • Variable salary by four-month period, applying from CAD 112,000 of invoicing per quarter. No maximum limit.
  • Long term incentive : 5% over total personal sales after 3 years of achieving the goal (at least CAD 50,000 of extra bonus after this period).
  • Potential access to equity of the company, with both fixed and variable salary improvement.
  • Access to Cobee platform with deductions on different social benefits.
  • Hybrid system work, 2 days of home office after onboarding period.
  • Non-competence clause.
  • A mentor to support and guide you through your onboarding.
