Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Azure Consultant for a permanent role to lead Agile delivery and cloud architecture for enterprise clients. This is a remote role (Anywhere in Canada) that combines deep technical expertise in Microsoft Azure Cloud with strong Agile leadership, stakeholder management, and business acumen.

You will work closely with enterprise teams and Veriday executives to drive cloud strategy, execution, and client success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and facilitate Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban, SAFe or other enterprise Agile frameworks.
• Define and establish Agile cadences, ceremonies, sprint planning, retrospectives, and velocity tracking in accordance with agile methodology
• Coach and mentor team members to adopt Agile principles and improve delivery.
• Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Design enterprise cloud data solutions using Azure Synapse, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and other native Azure services.
• Support cloud transformation projects from assessment to execution.
• Work with the Veriday team to support sales and marketing initiatives, including pre-sales technical support and proposal development.
• Assist in identifying and developing new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
• Build and maintain exceptional client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and technical thought leader.

Requirements:

• Proven experience leading Agile teams (Scrum Master certification is an asset).
• Strong experience in Azure architecture with a focus on data, security, and scalability.
• Hands-on expertise in Azure Synapse, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and other Azure data tools.
• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Data Engineer) are highly desirable.
• Strong experience in enterprise data management and governance or data certification such as CDMP.
• Proven ability to support business development and go-to-market activities.
• Experience in client-facing roles and driving value-based delivery.
• Ability to influence and consult stakeholders at all levels, including C-level.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills.
• Comfortable collaborating with Veriday’s executive leadership and delivery teams.
