Responsibilities for the Principal Architect (SaaS) Role
As a member of the Architecture team, the Principal Architect will lead efforts to modernize legacy SaaS applications. This role involves defining strategy and architecture, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and challenging estimates and strategies to ensure alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.

Key Contributions to the SaaS Strategy

1. Define the strategy and architecture to modernize legacy SaaS applications.
2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and technical leads to align SaaS architecture with organizational objectives.
3. Evaluate and select technologies and tools based on scalability, performance, and best practices.
4. Challenge and validate estimates, strategies, and designs proposed by teams.
5. Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and reliable SaaS solutions.
6. Define and oversee the execution of the SaaS governance strategy in collaboration with stakeholders.
7. Communicate technical concepts and decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. Several years of experience in software architecture, SaaS application development, and cloud services.
3. Expertise in modernizing legacy systems and migrating them to cloud-based architectures.
4. High motivation, teamwork, and results-oriented approach.
5. Advanced knowledge and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
6. Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, or Go.
7. Knowledge of SaaS governance, performance optimization, and security best practices.
8. Willingness to stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in SaaS and software architecture.
9. Relevant certifications in cloud services or software architecture are advantageous.
10. Bilingualism (French and English) required.
