Job summary

MaintainX is growing its backend platform team to build an AI-native platform for internal developers. You’ll set technical direction for backend services, drive cross-team architecture decisions, and mentor senior engineers as you lead multi-squad initiatives and on-call rotations.

You’ll work in a hybrid environment, shaping standards across the engineering organization while collaborating with product and analytics to align roadmaps and deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience shaping AI-native workflows in a platform or org.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems with long-term impact.
• Exposure to cloud, IaC, CI/CD, APIs, developer experience.

Responsibilities

• Shape backend platform architecture and governance.
• Integrate AI-native workflows across the platform.
• Identify and resolve cross-cutting technical challenges.
• Define standards and patterns adopted across teams.
• Influence roadmap priorities with stakeholders.
• Drive adoption of platform changes across teams.
• Mentor senior engineers on complex problems.
