Job summary

St. Clement’s Early Learning School invites applications for a 7-month contract (Nov 2026–June 2027) for a Primary teacher (grades 1–3).

Develop an enriched, inquiry-based program aligned with the Ontario Curriculum and work with a dedicated teaching team to support student learning. Qualifications include a Bachelor or Master of Education, OCT membership, and minimum 2 years of teaching in a private school; RECE asset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education or Master of Education.
• OCT membership in good standing.
• RECE qualification is an asset.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience (Primary, grades 1-3 preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop a strong rapport with students and families.
• Develop and deliver an enriched & inquiry-based program that meets the needs of all students in the class.
• Assess and develop an Individual Program for each student that keys into a student’s interests, strengths and areas for to work on.
• Communicate regularly with families/specialists.
• Liaise with Principal/Curriculum Coordinator.
• Organize and lead extra-curricular activities.

Qualifications:

• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated organization and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
• An enthusiastic work ethic, with a commitment to full participation in the life of the school
• Working knowledge and classroom experience (Primary grades, specifically grades 1-3) with SMART board would be an asset
• Utilizing a variety of teaching mediums to accommodate diverse learning abilities.
