Job Title: Primary SEN TA
Location: Pevensey
Salary Range: £90-£110 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: Immediate start
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a warm and inclusive primary school in Pevensey.

Role Overview

As a Primary SEN TA, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 who have a range of special educational needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, ADHD, and social-emotional needs. You will be instrumental in promoting confidence, engagement, and personal growth.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to pupils with additional needs.
  • Implement EHCP targets and support learning through differentiated activities.
  • Assist with personal care, emotional regulation, and behaviour management when required.
  • Collaborate closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to monitor progress.
  • Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment that supports every child’s well-being.
  • Record and report pupil development and communicate effectively with parents/carers.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN in a primary school or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of strategies to support autism, ADHD, sensory processing, or speech and language needs.
  • A patient, calm, and consistent approach to supporting emotional and behavioural challenges.
  • Relevant qualifications or training (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Team Teach, Makaton, or PECS) are advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style.
  • Have anupdated CV(covering thelast ten years barring any unexplained gaps) andan enhanced DBSregistered to theUpdate Service(or be willing to apply for one).
