Job Description

Vanguard School is seeking an elementary school lunch facilitator. Under the authority of the Student Life Coordinator, the lunch facilitator supervises and supports students during lunch.

Required Profile

• Hold a Secondary 5 diploma or an equivalent qualification recognized by the institution.
• Available during elementary school lunch periods, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• Experience in facilitating and intervening with young people.
• Proficiency in spoken and written French and good knowledge of English.
• Ability to work in a team.

Tasks

• Plan and lead activities during lunch recess in collaboration with facilitator team.
• Supervise students in various classrooms grouping.
• Exercise preventive and active surveillance by informing students about regulations and enforce rules through sanctions when necessary.
• Follow up on punitive and restorative measures.
• Intervene when required.
• Communicate problematic situations to teachers, the student life coordinator, or administration.
• Ensure compliance with the school code of conduct.
• Perform related tasks as needed.
