Position Overview

As a primary care physician at CFB Borden, you will deliver comprehensive healthcare services to a motivated patient population. Your responsibilities include providing primary care, managing occupational health needs, addressing minor traumas, promoting health and wellness, and preventing diseases and injuries. You will also be involved in rehabilitation and support services, ensuring service members are in optimal health and readiness.

This role goes beyond typical primary care; it involves being a trusted health partner for military personnel who rely on your expertise. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary medical care to patients with acute and chronic conditions, including referrals to other healthcare providers when necessary.
• Deliver occupational health services, such as:
• Referral of patients for programs involving personal protective devices (e.g., hearing conservation, respiratory protection).
• Communicate with Senior Medical Authority on clinical matters such as CF Spectrum of Care, complex cases requiring multidisciplinary intervention, and operational readiness.
• Maintain patient medical information in Electronic Health Records and patient charts.

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
• Certification in Family Medicine with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Providers or CPR / AED Level C certification.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level.
