Job summary

Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA) in Duncan, BC is seeking a Primary Care Clinical Pharmacist to deliver comprehensive medication management within the primary care network as part of an inter-professional team.

Licensed by the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia with at least 2 years of patient-care experience in primary care, and a valid Class 5 Driver's License, you may travel between sites as needed. Position starts Mar 30, 2026.

Job Description

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority, patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at VIHA; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

Situated within identified primary care network locales, this position provides clinical pharmacy services to patients of the primary care network. As a member of an inter-professional team this position works directly with patients to identify and resolve actual and potential drug therapy problems through provision of comprehensive medication management.

Travel may be a requirement of this position. Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of the Vancouver Island Health Authority in accordance with the service assignment and may require the use of a personal vehicle.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Training And Experience

• Licensed by the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia; and
• Two (2) years recent related patient care experience in a team based primary care setting; and
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License

An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
