Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Clinical Lead to join our Primary Care Team at HMP Risley, a category C Prison located in Warrington.

As a Primary Care Clinical Lead, you will be looking after 5 team leaders within the primary care settings, ideally looking for someone with Substance Misuse experience or would be willing to learn and develop skills within substance misuse. HMP Risley is a male prison that has a population of 1000.

Hours:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm

Salary:

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary between £51,643 - £58,012 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Main Duties of the Job

As a Primary Care Clinical Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will:

  • Provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams.
  • Deputise on behalf of the Deputy/Head of Healthcare when required.
  • Work closely with partners to maintain a robust, high-quality clinical service for patients. Ensure that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
  • Model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication and competence.
  • Clinical Lead you will coach, line manage and develop clinician staff; support and contribute in undertaking audits and governance and contribute to developing and reviewing clinical/non-clinical Local Operating Protocols for the site.
  • Chair and facilitate specific healthcare meetings with the team and different partners, provide clinical supervision (training available) and carry out investigations locally and for the wider region.

Registered Nurse Adult Current professional qualification (NMC)

Existing line management experience and student nurse mentorship
