Qualifications

• Registered or eligible to register as a Clinical Assistant in Manitoba.
• Eligible to practise under supervising physician.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a busy clinic.
• Experience using an EMR system is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical histories and conduct patient assessments.
• Perform appropriate physical examinations.
• Formulate clinical impressions and contribute to patient management plans.
• Manage common medical conditions in collaboration with supervising physician.
• Order or review investigations as authorized.
• Provide patient education and preventive health counselling.
• Assist with minor procedures, including wound care and suturing.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Support efficient delivery of clinical services and continuity of patient care.
• Work in a full-time schedule with six- to eight-hour shifts.
• Weekday and occasional weekend shifts; holidays may be required.
