Job description

Position Summary

Northern Health is seeking an experienced, efficient, and self-directed Primary Care Assistant.

The Primary Care Assistant works as part of the interprofessional team to support Primary Care providers and deliver safe, efficient, and quality primary care services across Northern Health. This role provides operational and administrative support in clinics and community settings, in accordance with Northern Health policies.

This position may be redeployed to satellite community clinics within the same community.

Shift and Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30

Dawson Creek, known as the Mile Zero City, is surrounded by the Northern Rockies and features a population of approximately 12,500. It serves a larger regional population of about 60,000 and offers various educational and community amenities, including elementary and secondary schools and Northern Lights College.

Qualifications
  • Grade 12 education.
  • Graduation from an Office Assistant Course from an accredited Community College, plus two years of recent, related healthcare experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
