HPS has grown to become the leader in North America in the custom design and manufacture of dry type transformers. For the past century, HPS has delivered electrical power solutions to global markets, providing solutions for complex applications like mining, rectifiers, drives, traction, wind, solar, and many other electrical power applications. The world relies on HPS to produce state-of-the-art transformer technology. We currently have an opening for a Pricing Manager. Come grow with us!

Reporting to the Manager of Product Management, the Pricing Manager is responsible for implementing the pricing strategy, performing analytics, and providing consultative pricing support for Hammond Power Solutions.

This position works closely with leaders across Sales, Finance, Product Management, and IT to deliver profitable growth through pricing.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Price Planning: Lead the activation of comprehensive pricing strategies that support the organization's long-term growth and price realization objectives, focusing on optimizing prices across markets and key product segments.
  2. Data-Driven Insights: Utilize advanced analytics and modeling techniques to derive actionable insights from internal and external data sources, guiding pricing decisions and initiatives. Support deal engagement among key internal stakeholders for major opportunities.
  3. Pricing Attainment: Champion the adoption of value-based pricing methodologies, leveraging customer segmentation and willingness-to-pay analysis to capture maximum value from products and services.
  4. Manage the national account price adjustment process: updating the price sheets and providing sales education.

Price Optimization: Support the development and maintenance of AI-supported pricing models and algorithms to segment and dynamically optimize prices.

Change Management: Drive organizational change and adoption of new pricing strategies through effective communication, training, and stakeholder engagement.

Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track pricing performance, conduct regular reviews, and adjust strategies as needed.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate pricing risks such as margin erosion, price cannibalization, and competitive threats through proactive monitoring and strategic interventions.

Thought Leadership: Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in pricing strategy, contributing through publications, presentations, and industry forums.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Professional Pricing Society (PPS) Certified Pricing Professional (CPP) preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Deep understanding of pricing theory, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies in complex environments.
  • Proficiency in pricing software or tools (e.g., price optimization software, revenue management systems) is a plus.
  • Experience with PROS Price Management, Infor CPQ, and Microsoft D365 systems is preferable.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including statistical analysis, financial modeling, and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and align cross-functional teams and senior executives.
  • Proven ability to drive results through collaboration, innovation, and strategic thinking.
  • Experience in B2B industries, particularly manufacturing, is highly desirable.
