Reporting to the Manager, Pricing, the Pricing & Legal Project Management Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and general support in all aspects of pricing and client and matter management activities. We are seeking an individual who is detail-oriented with an emphasis on organizational and time management skills, communication skills, and technical competency. A finance background is an asset for this role.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Request for Proposals (RFPs) and the development of fee estimates
  • Maintain the volume discount master file, monitor client volume on a monthly basis and update client discounts when required
  • Assist with setting up hourly rates for new timekeepers
  • Provide support in the annual rate renewal process
  • Track fee credit in Aderant, coordinate application of fee credit with billing team, and update fee credit balance at the end of the year
  • Monitor the department mailbox and triage complex fee arrangements or rate requests to relevant team members
  • Assist in the preparation and running of fee reports
  • Assist with the enhancement of tools and processes to further improve efficiency
  • Assist with general tracking and reporting activities for the department
  • Provide other administrative and project support as required

Position Requirements

Education and Experience:

This position requires a college diploma or university degree specializing in a business discipline. Prior work experience in finance, accounting or a (legal) project management function within the legal or professional services industry is an asset. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be acceptable.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; strong attention to detail, results-driven, looks for ways to improve and promote quality
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, and a willingness and aptitude to learn new technologies
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly, both written and verbal, to a diverse audience
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with other business units
  • Self-starter with strong research, investigative and problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise judgment to resolve issues
  • Ability to perform at a high level in a fast-paced work environment and successfully adapt to changing priorities and work demands
  • Comfortable working with numbers

We are currently working in a hybrid work arrangement, which includes a requirement to work primarily in the office and flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
