An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Pricing leadership team as a Pricing Development Manager, focusing on utilizing your analytical skills in developing pricing sophistication within Personal Lines. We’re looking for a candidate with extensive relevant experience who can provide subject matter expertise and leadership across the pricing team.

What will I be doing?
  1. Leading the development of enhanced pricing capabilities through data enrichment, machine learning, automated monitoring, and data storytelling.
  2. Supporting pricing leaders and the wider business to achieve objectives, including improving risk selection, loss ratio, and growth.
  3. Managing and developing analysts and senior analysts, modeling company values, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and agility.
  4. Pushing boundaries by building a pipeline of innovative pricing solutions, leveraging data science and advanced modeling, and driving strategic changes in pricing and data-driven decision-making.
  5. Exploiting opportunities to source internal and external datasets, particularly broker-specific assets, to enhance pricing models and minimize adverse risk selection.
  6. Serving as a pricing subject matter expert, representing Pricing in key forums, and providing clear technical support to senior stakeholders, explaining complex information to non-technical audiences.
  7. Developing and maintaining pricing, data science, and analysis tools, driving advancements in sandbox environments.
  8. Automating, streamlining, and documenting pricing and modeling processes to ensure efficiency and strong governance.
You should apply if you have...
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Expert understanding of predictive modeling and machine learning techniques applicable to the technical rating of motor and home products.
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills and intellectual curiosity, with the ability to solve problems.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivation, with the ability to lead, manage, and develop individuals and teams, remaining efficient under pressure.
  • An ability to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders, and adapt to changing business needs in a competitive market.
  • Project management skills would be a distinct advantage.
  • Minimum 2:1 bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate numerical subject, or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of continued learning to keep pace with advancements in analytical techniques, data science, AI, and supporting technologies.
  • Experience analyzing data using actuarial or analytical techniques and/or an understanding of general insurance underwriting principles.

We understand some candidates may hesitate to apply if they do not meet all criteria. At Covéa, we are committed to diversity and inclusion. If you are interested but do not fully meet all requirements, we still encourage you to apply.

What’s on offer?
  • 36.25 working hours per week with flexible options.
  • Annual pay review and a performance-related bonus of 12.5%.
  • 27 days holiday plus bank holidays, with holiday buy/sell options.
  • Generous pension scheme with employer contributions up to 9%.
  • Health benefits including Private Medical Insurance, annual health assessments, and 24/7 Virtual GP access.
  • Tusker Car Scheme – salary sacrifice for a fully maintained and insured car for up to four years.
  • Support for mental, financial, and physical wellbeing through our Wellbeing group.
