Job summary

Amazon in Vancouver seeks a Senior Data Engineer to lead data pipeline designs and mentor engineers on a pricing data platform. You will build data models and ML data infrastructure powering pricing algorithms for customers and sellers.

You will own data collection and transformation models, collaborate with Pricing software teams, and leverage GenAI to deliver next-gen data and analytics solutions while ensuring reliable operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and ETL pipelines.
• Experience with SQL and at least one modern language (Python/Java/Scala/NodeJS).
• Experience mentoring team members on best practices.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Architecture design and implementation of next generation data pipelines and BI solutions.
• Build next generation data and analytics solutions using GenAI.
• Manage AWS resources including EC2, RDS, Redshift, Kinesis, EMR, Lambda.
• Build and deliver high quality data architecture and pipelines for analysts and data scientists.
• Interface with other teams to extract, transform, and load diverse data sources.
• Improve reporting and automate self-service analytics for customers.
