Financial Analyst

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Pricing Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with the operations management team and the executive team to develop competitive and strategic pricing for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) issued by various governmental and organizational entities. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that Emterra Group remains a leader in the recycling and waste management industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain effective pricing models that support profitability and growth.
  • Analyze financial requirements for RFPs issued by municipal, provincial, federal governments, and industrial, institutional, and commercial organizations.
  • Collaborate with the operations management team to understand service requirements, cost inputs, and structures.
  • Work closely with the executive team to align pricing strategies with company goals and market conditions.
  • Conduct market research, including costing and competitive analysis.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies and recommend improvements.
  • Support contract negotiations with data-driven pricing recommendations.
  • Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Understand financial statements and relevant structures.
  • Apply strong business acumen and operational cost knowledge.
  • Work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of pricing data and proposals.
  • Lead special projects related to pricing and market analysis.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, mathematics, or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and financial modeling experience.
  • Experience with Great Plains, Business Central, Fixx, Route Optix, Material Manager, RTA is an asset.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with high analytical and logical thinking.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Leadership qualities and motivation for change.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Experience in waste management, logistics, or similar fast-paced environments is a plus.
  • This role is onsite in Surrey, British Columbia.
