Job summary

Tracti.on in Montreal, Canada, seeks a Pricing Analyst to bridge product management and price management. You will collaborate with market managers, analyze costs and margins, and ensure pricing data accuracy across systems.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with market managers to align pricing with market realities.
• Prepare and analyze changes in costs and margins.
• Present the resale structure in worksheets and ensure accuracy of pricing data.
• Detect and report margin and cost problems and propose fixes.
• Maintain accuracy of pricing data across systems and files.
• Create product descriptions in the right category and enter specs into the system.
• Analyze price update processing times to identify bottlenecks and propose solutions.
• Review weekly discrepancy reports to identify sources of pricing issues and correct them.
• Analyze monthly national promotions to avoid conflicts with regional pricing structures and propose new prices.

Job description

The role of the Pricing Analyst is to ensure the link between product management and price management. More specifically, you will be responsible to:

• Initiate effective collaboration with market managers.
• Prepare and analyze changes in costs and margins.
• Present the reality of the resale structure in worksheets;
• Detect and report margin and cost problems;
• Monitor and maintain the accuracy of pricing data;
• Create descriptions of new products in the right product category; Specifications for entry into the computer system;
• Compile and analyze price update processing times to identify bottlenecks: Supplier, Product Manager, MIS, Purchasing Clerk. Find and propose solutions;
• Analyze weekly «discrepancy» reports to determine the source of problems and make the necessary corrections.
• Analyze monthly prices of national promotions to ensure that there is no conflict with regional pricing structures and propose new prices;
