Our team is currently seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician (I) to join our Victoria, BC team. The successful candidate will perform limited service work and assist on major projects under supervision from a Troy Certified Service Technician.

NATURE AND SCOPE:
  • Perform PMA, repairs within scope with minimal supervision, and related duties as directed.
  • Complete repairs necessary for PMA, excluding specific exclusions.
  • Perform additional work such as emergency lighting, extinguishers, etc.
  • Assist in other areas as assigned.
  • Prepare and submit accurate, timely reports documenting work performed.
  • Report any issues encountered during duties to the supervisor.
  • Use time productively by communicating with the service coordinator upon job completion.
  • Develop knowledge of company products through reading service/technical bulletins and training.
  • Maintain and update drawings, schematics, and service bulletins.
  • Keep a neat and current parts inventory in the service vehicle.
  • Strive for high customer satisfaction and suggest additional products/services when appropriate.
  • Submit suggestions for improving productivity or quality, or for product modifications.
  • Adhere to scheduled maintenance and safe operation of the company vehicle, maintaining its cleanliness.
  • Follow safe work procedures, report hazards, unsafe acts, or accidents.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma
  • Community college graduate in electronics or equivalent experience
  • ASTT EX, EL, and FA tickets (if required by AHJ)
  • Good communication and computer skills

Electricians may perform work normally subcontracted to electricians if permitted by local regulations.

Hourly range: $29.98 - 34.59
