Job description

Toromont Cat is looking for a Resident Preventative Maintenance/Lube Technician to join our growing team! The PM Technician will be responsible for visiting customer sites to provide superior preventative maintenance services for equipment, maintaining strong customer relationships, and collaborating with the Technician team.

Shift Schedule: Evenings, 4 x 10 hours (Monday - Thursday)

In a typical day, YOU will:

  • Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound, and healthy work behaviors in line with Toromont’s Health and Safety policies and initiatives
  • Perform lubrication services and repairs
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance service scheduling with customers
  • Document all service and repair activities
  • Promote preventative maintenance and lube services to customers
  • Organize and control inventory of lube truck equipment and supplies
  • Conduct minor warranty repairs
  • Perform 250, 500, 1000, and 2000-hour services, including valve sets
  • Maintain positive customer relations proactively and responsibly

Must-have qualifications for this position:

  • Minimum post-secondary education
  • Mechanical inclination with experience in preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Post-secondary education in a heavy equipment mechanics-related field or a 421A/310T trade license (strong asset)
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License (DZ license is an asset)
