Preventative Maintenance Field Technician
Battlefield Equipment Rentals (a division of Toromont Industries Ltd.), one of Canada's premiere Construction Rental Companies, has an immediate requirement for a Preventative Maintenance Field Technician in our Sudbury location. The branch is a busy, customer-driven facility. It is a fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphere that places a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. The service department is an important area of our business, ensuring that our equipment is ready and available for our customers. This position requires a hard-working, dedicated individual with excellent attention to detail, who can excel in a busy, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Complete lubrication services and repairs;
2. Coordinate convenient preventative maintenance service scheduling with customers;
3. Document all service and repair information;
4. Promote preventative maintenance and lube service capabilities to customers;
5. Organize and control inventory of all lube truck equipment and truck stock;
6. Conduct minor warranty repairs;
7. Proactively and responsibly maintain positive customer relations at all times;
8. Other duties as required.

Key Qualifications:

1. A technician with experience in complete preventative maintenance/lube service;
2. Hands-on experience and existing knowledge of the service and maintenance requirements of all types of construction equipment;
3. Ability to work independently, skilled in time management and organization;
4. Familiarity with the region with the ability to maneuver efficiently and effectively in all traffic situations;
5. Adaptable to on-call work schedules and willing to work in all weather conditions; prepared to work on nuclear and environmental sites, agricultural settings, and mining sites;
6. Willing to be trained and designated as a Canadian Nuclear Worker;
7. Willing and able to work flexible hours (weekends/afternoon shifts) in support of business needs;
8. A customer-centric and positive attitude as well as good communication skills;
9. Experience with computers and Microsoft applications;
10. Willingness to participate in safe workplace safety, and environmentally sound behaviors and practices at all times in support of Battlefield's health and safety policy programs and initiatives;
11. A valid G-class driver's license and clean driver's abstract is mandatory.

Additional Qualifications:

1. Familiarity with CAT systems (ET and SIS) would be considered beneficial;
2. Applicant must be able to perform heavy lifting; as heavy lifting will be required frequently;
3. Your own tools are required.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $27.00 per hour
