Job Description

We are currently seeking a Pressure Truck / Hot Oiler Operator to join our Lloydminster, AB Vertex team. We offer a 5/2 rotational schedule with on-call work, rotating every other weekend or based on project needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in safety programs by adhering to all company and customer policies and procedures
  • Attend toolbox talks and safety meetings, conduct hazard assessments, and complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Work effectively as part of a team with coworkers, contractors, and customers
  • Operate equipment competently and safely
  • Drive equipment safely and obey all traffic laws
  • Keep training and certifications up to date
  • Workload and schedules may vary depending on emergency situations and routine tasks

Candidate Qualifications

  • Drug & Alcohol testing (provided by Vertex)
  • Class 1 Driver's License with a clean commercial abstract
  • At least 2 years of Hot Oiler Operator experience
  • At least 2 years of Pressure Truck Operator experience with 5K & 10K trucks
  • Minimum 2 years of oilfield experience
  • Experience with ELD logbooks
  • Experience operating vacuum trucks and fluid hauling is an asset
  • Ability to work shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
  • Safety tickets such as H2S Alive, CSTS 2020, First Aid, Fall Protection, CSO, and Confined Space Entry & Monitoring
  • Completion of Cenovus site orientations
  • PPE provided by Vertex
  • Steel toe rubber boots required
  • Ability to lift heavy tools and parts
  • Ability to work at heights over 6 feet
