Job Description

• The position is responsible for setting up, adjusting, operating, and maintaining various press equipment.
• Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated, such as hanging plates or installing cylinders, examining plates/cylinders for imperfections, checking for correct image positioning, prepping blankets, and adjusting tension and registration.
• Make necessary color corrections and press adjustments prior to production to meet quality specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as needed.
• Perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, specifications, equipment, and safety requirements, with the skills to perform related tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications and understand press capabilities to determine appropriate press usage, settings, and materials.
• Skill in making precise control settings and performing routine operational maintenance.
• Knowledge of minor repairs and operational maintenance of press equipment.
• Understanding of proper packing pressure to achieve the correct printing pressure for different jobs.
• Skill in using a micrometer to mount and align printing plates correctly.

Additional Information

The pay range for this role at the specified location is $21.72 to $25.72 per hour. The actual rate may vary based on education, skills, experience, performance, shift, and location. Hours: 2nd Shift 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM with a shift premium of $2.00/hr.
